It's amazing how different your life becomes once you meet the half-way mark. The clock keeps ticking faster and faster. There just isn't enough time to do everything you want to do in your life. When you are young you don't think about it. It's count down and I want it to really count this time around.

At the Dunes

Last Saturday I finally got back out and joined my plein air group. We met at the Waukegan Beach for some painting of the dunes there. What a hidden treasure...I have never seen them before and realized that I have lived here all my life and have never been there! I guess the city of Waukegan is trying to clean up the area and get people back down to their downtown area. Anyway.....had a great time sitting and painting this picture of the dunes. It's a gouache on smooth vellum, 9 x 12.
